Troy Kenneth Burch, 79, passed away on March 6, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim and Rev. Laurie Barker and Charles Hagood officiating. Interment will follow at Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5-7:00 PM, Thursday at Kimble Funeral Home.
Troy was born August 25, 1939 to Roy and Naomi Burch. After graduating high school in Dumas, Texas, Troy joined the Highway Department in Nolan County. Troy was drafted into the military and was a MP. After served in military service, Troy continued working for the State of Texas Highway Department in Junction. Troy was proud of his involvement building the interstate highway in Nolan and Kimble County. Troy retired from the State after thirty-seven years and worked his second career in owning a liquor store business. Troy loved to work in his shop on his carpentry. His talent was admired by many.
On July 23, 1965, Troy married the love of his life, Joan Horton. They shared a wonderful life together and raised three children. One of their favorite vacations was to go to Ruidoso NM and watch the horse races.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents (Roy and Naomi), two brothers (Jerry and Bobby).
Troy leaves behind his family who he loves deeply, his wife, Joan; his daughter, Tressa Trayhan (Ed); son, Rocky Daniel and son, Marky Burch (Sonya). His legacy includes six grandchildren (Shay, Shana, Whitney, Destry, Shelby and Kamryn) and six great grandchildren.
Troy, Dad, Pawpaw- you will be missed more than you could ever imagine.
