Stan Brawley

Stanley C. Brawley ("Papa"), 65, died Nov. 24, 2015, at his home in Harper, TX.

He was born Oct. 7, 1950, to Alton & Gean Brawley in Brady, Tx. Stanley grew up in Junction, TX, where he established the famous Stanley grin. After Graduation, Stanley moved to Buna, TX to work for Gulf Oil. Not being able to stay away from the Hill country long, Stanley moved to Bandera, TX and began working at D'Spain Water Well Service until he retired.

Stanley loved to hunt & fish, and was an excellent cook-his family often found themselves captured by one of his stories with their bellies so full they could barely move.

On Saturdays & Sundays, Stanley wouldn't be far from a football game. He loved the University of Texas-wearing his "Texas Grandpa" shirt with pride. Stanley also had a love/hate relationship with the Cowboys.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Son-in-law Jason Ratcliff, Brother-in-law Allan Low, and Nephew James Alan Brawley.

Stanley is survived by his son, Jerry Craig Brawley, & wife Tammy; his daughter, Tammy Lynn Ratcliff, all from Buna, TX; his brother, Jerry N. Brawley and his sister, Mary Beth Low, both from Junction, TX.
