Samuel Gass

Junction Samuel A. Gass, 92, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather passed from this life on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family that he loved so much.

Mr. Gass was born June 22, 1918 in Harper, Texas to Randolph and Elsie Gass. Growing up in the Hill Country area, he married the love of his life, Marjorie, with whom they made a life together with the large family that they were so proud of. He was an accomplished carpenter who could build just about anything that needed to be built.

Family preceding him in death include his parents son, Butch daughter, Aubry grandson, Matthew sisters, Lida and Edna brothers, Elmer, TJ, and D.D. and soninlaw, Joel.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Marjorie of Junction children, Sammy and Kathy Gass of Knippa, Jimmy and Patricia Gass of Crystal City, Elsie Cravey of Junction, Mary Rae and Frank Bluemel of Center Point, Johnny Gass, Donna and L.V. Carroll, Alene Taylor, Frank Gass, Connie Moss, and Kay Sissel all of Junction 37 Grandchildren, and 82 Great Grandchildren along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held with burial at 4 PM, Saturday, October 9, 2010 in Junction Cemetery, Junction, Texas.
