Richard (Dicky) Udell Adams, 80 years old of Junction, Texas, Kimble County, passed peacefully in his home surrounded by family.
Dicky was born to Edward Delaney and Eula Irene Crumbley Adams in Junction, Texas on June 29, 1941.
In his early years, he and his dad Edward owned Adams Chevron and Adams Sinclair Service Station. Dicky ranched until daughter Sheila was born and then began his career with the Texas Department of Transportation (Highway Department) Jan. 1967 and retired 32 ½ years later.
Dicky had a passion for deer and elk hunting, fishing, ranching, pulling pranks and telling a few fun, TALL tales.
Dicky is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Eula Adams; grandparents, Emma and Dave Adams and Tom and Della Crumbley and brother Donald Adams.
Dicky is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janet Adams, daughter Sheila Mills and husband Greg, brothers, Eddie Joe, David and wife Garvene, Bobby and wife Patti Adams, sister in law Eda New and husband David and a large extended family.
At his request, there will be no visitation.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Kimble Funeral Home with burial to follow at Junction City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Daniel, Charles Adams, Kenny Smart, Rocky Daniel, Nate Nichols and Nash Nichols. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Couey, John Rimes, Bobby Hurley and Benny Smith.
