Preston Wright, 95, passed away on November 7, 2017 and is now a member of cowboy heaven.
Preston served in the Navy during WWII and was a signalman on ships. We loved his stories about all the different parts of the world he saw. Preston married Beth Lindsay in 1947 and began his ranching career. Beth was his first hired hand. He ranched at the Blackburn place until his death. Many wonderful memories were made there.
Preston is preceded in death by his wife; father, Howell Wright; mother, Dora Ragland Wright; and three sisters, Maxine Boone, Joyce Parker and Gwen Jacoby.
Survivors include his daughter, Becky Hart; granddaughter, Lindsay Ensley and husband Robert; great-granddaughter, Kinlee Ensley; and nieces and nephews.
Preston was admired for his integrity, always doing things the right way, his wonderful dry sense on humor entertained many as well as his stories of the past. Our love for him will never end, and we will cherish his memory always. Gods speed.
