Oralia Gonzales, 81, of Kerrville, Texas formerly of Junction, Texas passed from this life on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at a care facility in Kerrville.
Oralia was born January 5, 1931 in Menard, Texas to parents, Trinidad and Juanita Enriquez Gonzales. She grew up in Junction and earlier in life, she was a catechism teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Menard and a teachers aide at Junction headstart. She enjoyed being a homemaker and making arts and crafts which often included crocheted or knitted baby blankets and homemade dolls. She was talented and creative and enjoyed sharing this gift with others. Oralia loved life and people and made many friends. She was a special lady and wonderful mother and grandmother who put everybody else first. Her laugh and her caring personality made an everlasting impression on those who knew and loved her.
Oralia was preceded in death by her parents 2 brothers and a nephew.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her sons, Edward Gonzales of Kerrville and Raymond Gonzales of Dallas daughters, Irma Saucedo of Kerrville, Sylvia Rosas of Holcomb, KA and Rachel Gonzales of Kerrville sisters, Nancy Gonzales of Junction and Olivia Rendon of Junction 16 grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces nephews and other family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Theresas Catholic Church with Deacon Tim Graham officiating. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 7:00 PM, Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Theresas Catholic Church in Junction.
