Mary Vella Lawler, 90, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on November 10, 2015 at a care facility in Junction.
Mary was born May 3, 1925 in Bandera, Texas to Walter Turner and Bertie M. (Brown) Doss. She married Ray Hooker on March 8, 1941 and they were married 32 years before his passing in 1973. Ray and Mary had four children, Annie Merle, Wesley Hardin, Ray Edward, and Jesse Daniel. Mary married Virgil Lawler on September 16, 1977.
Mary worked as a x-ray and lab technician at Kimble Hospital, Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital, and the Kerrville State Hospital.
Mary is preceded in death by both of her husbands; her daughter, a brother, two sisters, a grandson; and great-grandson.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her sons; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Damon Doss and Ed Doss; two sisters, Sis Richardson and Geneva McDonald; and a host of other relatives.
She loved all of her family dearly, her grandchildren, her step-children, and step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 13, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Brown and Rev. Camille Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Junction City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, David, Danny, Bruce, Todd, Ray and Kennon. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
