Junction Margarete quotSookiequot Adelia Latham Hanks left to be with our Heavenly Father on November 29th, 2010. Born April 30th, 1930 she was the daughter to Lena and William Otis Latham, Sr. in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

She was formerly married to H.C. Benton Lake Charles, LA and Elvin Hanks West Monroe, LA, both of whom preceded her in death. She had been a resident of Hill Country Care Center, in Junction, Texas, since February 2009.

Her daughter Kristine Martarona Creole, LA preceded her in death in 2001.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her children, Clay Benton Lake Charles, LA, Tim Benton Moss Bluff, LA, and Wheeler Hanks San Antonio, TX. Sookie is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
