Louis Tisdale, Jr.

Louis Leon Tisdale, Jr., 85, of Fort McKavett, Texas passed away on January 11, 2015 in Junction, Texas.

Louis was born August 2, 1929 in San Angelo to Louis Leon Tisdale, Sr. and Josephine Oates. He grew up in Fort McKavett and Menard and graduated from Texas Tech University. He was a founder and member of Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department. Louis was a simple man, a cowboy and was known for being a rancher.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Ricky.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his sons, Larry and wife Gwen of Lake McQueeney, Randy and wife Denise of Cedar Park, Steve and wife Christina of Canton; daughter, Lisa and husband James of Kerrville; many stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and his loving companion of 35 years, Nell.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Fort McKavett Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5-7:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Garza, Danny Sprayberry, Larry Wright, Steve Tisdale, Randy Wright, Chic Cruz, and James Allison.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fort McKavett Volunteer Fire Department - P.O. Box 91, Fort McKavett, TX 76841.
