Larry Daharsh

Larry Jean Daharsh, 66, of Junction, Texas passed away on September 10, 2024 at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas after a hard-fought health battle. 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Eric Salas officiating. 

Larry was born January 22, 1958 in Kerrville, Texas, to Mavis Ann Pittman and Ed Virgil Daharsh. He grew up in Junction and then moved to Baytown, Texas where he met his wife Elizabeth (Liz) Ann Solar. Larry and Elizabeth were married on April 30, 1988 in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Larry was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 3, 1988 and continued on as a man of faith for the rest of his life. Larry worked at a steel mill as an overhead crane operator in Baytown for US Steel from 1978 to 1986. Later he worked in Junction as foreman at AERT and then at Cedar Fiber. Larry was a certified scuba diver and took dive trips to Cozumel, Cancun, Florida and Grand Cayman Island. Larry loved animals especially his dogs and he was a lover of music and watches. Larry was a sweet, caring, funny, genuine and humble man. He was a good husband, brother, uncle and friend. 

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Ed Virgil Daharsh; mother; Mavis Ann Daharsh; twin brother, Timothy Dean Daharsh; brother, John Paul Basham; sister, Jo Ann Wright and brother-in-law, Gerald Smith. 

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Daharsh; brother, Mark Daharsh and wife Elizabeth; sister, Sue Smith; sister, Wendy Sparks and husband ET; sister, Sherry Rogers and husband Jim; his dog, Parker; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
