Judy Lee Chenault

Judy Lee Ratliff Chenault, 85, a resident of Junction for over 60 years, passed from this life into heaven on March 24, 2025 at a care facility in San Angelo.

Judy was born February 10, 1940 to parents SJ Ratliff and Melba Loise Hicks in Llano. She grew up with a loving family who helped her mom raise her and her sister, Jerrie. She attended Junction High School where she played volleyball and was a cheerleader. She married James Burt “Jimmy” Chenault on June 1, 1958 in Junction. Judy and Jimmy enjoyed travelling in their travel trailer. Judy loved nature, the outdoors, and feeding the wild animals on their trips. Judy and Jimmy had three loving children. Judy passed her love of cheering to her daughter, and had the patience for (and fun of) teaching her sons how to drive out on the dirt roads. Later, her grandchildren became the joy in her life; she prayed for them daily. Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Junction and she worked at Junction National Bank for 30 years where everyone who encountered her felt loved.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy; mother, Melba Hicks; step-father, Pete Lackey; sisters-in-law, Billie Chenault, Shirley Chenault; and brother-in-law, Ted Fairchild.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Blake Chenault, Jerry Don Chenault and wife Patricia; daughter, Jeana Wollman and husband Curtis; grandchildren, Bailey Chenault, Misty Chandler, Cody Schuessler, Julie Dobbins, Brittany Wollman; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Jerrie Rhamy; Brothers-in-law, C.B. “Charky” Chenault, Billy Chenault.; and many nieces and nephews.

“Well done Momma, we love you!”
