Joyce Sherman

Joyce Elaine Townsend Sherman, 79, of Junction, passed away on December 3, 2022 in San Angelo.

Joyce was born April 8, 1943 in Marble Falls to Ray and Bertha (Collier) Townsend.  Joyce married Richard Sherman on February 23, 1960 in Mexico.  Joyce loved to cook for her family.  She owned two bakeries and was an avid reader.  She worked at Super S for many years as their bookkeeper.  She loved her job and the people she worked with.  She was a good mother who loved her family dearly; a good friend; a caretaker of her own mother for many years; and she loved her cat baby.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Johnny Townsend; and son, Joe Ray Sherman.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Sherry Tinney and husband Ralph of Junction, Donna Sherman of San Antonio, Sabrina Menchaca and husband Vince of Georgetown; son, Jerry Clay Sherman of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Kendra Sherman of San Antonio, Ali Sherman of San Diego, and Chrystal Sherman of Virginia; many cousins and nephews. 

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Junction City Cemetery with Pastor Randy Dean officiating.
