Johnny Smith

Johnny Lewis Smith, 75, of Junction, Texas passed from this life - into the Lord’s arms, on January 22, 2022 at his residence.

Johnny was born October 6, 1946 to Carl B. Smith and Lottie Blackwood Smith in Junction. He grew up living on ranches in this area. Johnny married Nancy Stapp, also of Junction, in Nacogdoches on August 11, 1975. He loved fishing, hunting, horses, dogs, team roping, and being outdoors. Most of all he loved his family and friends.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Carl B. and Lottie Smith; beloved brothers-in-law, Bobby D. Adams, Earl Dean Williamson from Junction; and his son Chad Smith who lived in Chandler, Arizona.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Stapp Smith; son, John Slade Smith; daughter, Sara Wickham and husband John; granddaughters, Alyssa Smith, Bella Wickham, Zoe Smith, Hayli Smith; two grandsons, John Alexander Wickham and Christopher Brack Smith; sister, Billie Jo Williamson; nephews, Carl Williamson and wife Misty, Robert Adams; sister-in-law, Patricia Adams; many great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

Cremation arrangements are pending; a graveside service will be announced at a later date.
