Jeff Lancaster

Jeffrey Bruce Lancaster went to be face to face with Jesus on July 25, 2017 suddenly at the age of 67. He was born on August 18, 1949 in Skowhegan, Maine where he was the first child born to Philip Lancaster and Barbara Barker.

Jeff met the love of his life, Claudia Colby, at the First Baptist Church of Groton, MA and there they were married on August 29, 1969. In the next three years they were blessed with the birth of their two sons, Jeffrey Philip and Joshua Paul. After enduring the blizzard of '78 and having someone want to buy their small house, they decided to move south to Texas and see what adventures God had for them there.

Jeff worked as a draftsman until an opportunity came his way to start his own business in the Katy area. He named it Lancaster Glass and for almost 10 years he and Claudia , their sons and faithful employees worked hard to make it successful. Always wanting a challenge, he sold Lancaster Glass and moved to Brenham, TX where he managed and purchased Bluebonnet Glass. God blessed his family as they worked together in Brenham for almost 20 years. Jeff was very active in every church he attended. He led men's Bible studies, played bass guitar on praise teams, led men's ministries, mentored men, and led a home group in our home. In the spring of 2013, Jeff felt God was leading him in a new direction and again in a miraculous series of events God led him to Junction. He loved this town and immediately made a lot of new friends. He loved spending time with his grandsons and watching them in band, football and baseball and just living close to them. Whenever he got a chance, he enjoyed playing golf with his brother, his sons and grandsons. Jeff also loved spending time on his friend's ranch helping with the animals, the garden and building projects.

Jeff is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Claudia Colby Lancaster, his mother, Barbara B Tissue of Winter Haven FL, his sons, Jeffrey Philip Lancaster of Cedar Park, TX, Joshua Paul Lancaster and his wife Allanna of Junction, his brothers, Dale Philip Lancaster and his wife Deborah of Cornville, Maine, Mark Alan Tissue and his wife Kathy of Winter Haven, FL, his grandsons, Brandon Drew Stuart, Dakota Thomas Lancaster, Dustyn Philip Lancaster, all of Junction, and 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Philip George Lancaster.
