Frances Mickie Dumond, 87, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014. Graveside services will be held in Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland Texas, on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 3:00 P.M., where Mickie will join her late husband Frank Dumond.
Mickie was born November 13, 1927 in Electra, Texas to John Gilbert and Beulah Taylor, fifth of eleven children. Her husband, J. Frank Dumond preceded her in death in 1991.
Mickie lived in Odessa from 1943 to 1997. She was employed with Industrial Communications for 27 years before retiring in 1997 and moving to the South Llano River in Junction, Texas.
Mickie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, three brothers, Clovis, Robert, Duane Taylor, and two sisters, Wanda Nell Joletta Taylor and Aunt Eulah, twin to Beulah.
Mickie is survived by two daughters, Lynda Kirby and husband Houston, Rhonda Thomas and husband Curtis all of Junction. Four loving grandchildren, Trisha Hale of Nashville, Tn., Curt Thomas of Austin, John Kirby wife Kelbi of San Antonio, Julie Norman husband Dennis of Willis, Tx., named her Momo were the apple of her eye. Her great grandchildren, who she never told no to anything, Heather Geddis husband Timothy, Cody Hale wife Cher, Kirby Dumond Hale wife Rebecca, Kaeli and Kenzi Kirby, Carlie Thomas, Jessica, Ricky, Jillian Weaver, great great grandchildren, Tanner, Acie, Timothy Houston Geddis Bailey Olivia Winn and Hazel Reign Hale. One brother, Dearl Taylor and wife JoAnn of Odessa and four sisters, Eunice Wittie of Stephenville, Leona Wimberley of Junction, Texas, Glenda Haynie of Odessa and Jeri Noe of El Paso and many loved nephews nieces that Mickie enjoyed and had so much fun with.
Momos children were her entire life and she loved to make them laugh. She and her beautiful laughter will be sorely missed. She traveled far to be with them and was always a big part of their lives.
Pallbearers are Curt Thomas, John Kirby, Cody Kirby Hale, and Ricky Weaver.
