Etta “Miss Irene” Wagner passed from this life into Jesus’s arms on December 4,2021.

She was born February 13,1935 to Steve (L.V.) and Fowler Mae Light in Llano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Mae Light; brother, Miles Henry (Sonny) Light; daughter, Fonda Lynette Wagner and nephew, James Lance Medford.

Those celebrating her life is her husband of 68 years, Wilford Wagner; daughter, Rhonda Nixon; grandchildren, Sonnye and Matt Morris and Jessie Nixon; great- grandchildren, Bryton, Reid and Lily Morris; sister and brother-in-law, Lou and Jim Medford; sister-in-law, Laverne Garrett; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Donna Wagner; nieces and nephews, Steve and Tamra Medford, Joe Garrett, Roe and Shonda Garrett, Hope and David Elms, Cathey and Wade Purtell and Jason Wagner.

Miss Irene loved working for the Junction Independent School District, where she taught for many years. God and family were her passion.

Private services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flower the family request donations be made in Miss Irene’s name to First Baptist Church of Junction, Junction Animal Control or Meal on Wheels.
