Enoch Jeremiah Powers

Enoch Jeremiah Powers, born: May 5, 2022, died: July 24, 2022.

Enoch Jeremiah Powers, infant son of Elijah J. Powers and Angela S. Gonzales - age 2 months - 19 days, passed from this life on July 24, 2022 at a local hospital.

His light was briefly on the earth for us to see, it burned brightly, then was gone.

Over two-thousand years ago there was a star in the sky to show the birth of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus was the light of the world who put his light of life into every person who has ever been born.  Some will accept that light and will come to His salvation, and others will reject that light and be separated from the Father and Son forever.

On the same day little Enoch’s light was taken from us, people over Texas and Oklahoma witnessed a phenomenon in the sky.  A meteorite the size of a car, they say, burned through the atmosphere, was bright briefly, and then was no more. That meteorite probably made a splash on earth somewhere.  Little Enoch’s splash was in heaven.  His light has now joined with God’s heavenly host.

The Bible tells us that all our lives are as a vapor of smoke, compared to eternity it is short.  Our light burns briefly on this earth and then is gone.

We who got to love and hold little Enoch will miss seeing him grow. He will have the blessing of growing up in heaven.  With tears and aching hearts, we let him go, but Jesus tells us in His Word that one day He will wipe away all tears.

The family of little Enoch Powers is thankful for the Body of Christ who have been there for us with prayers, food, and support both physically and financially. Kimble Hospital and the ambulance service were wonderful.

We love you Jesus, and we thank you for the good people of Junction, Texas.

Little Enoch’s family include his parents, Elijah & Angela; grandparents, great-grandparents, and extended family.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, August 1, 2022 at Travis Powers' at Flat Rock Crossing.
