Mrs. Edith Maude Longshore Tomlinson, 99, of Junction passed away at Green Valley Healthcare, North Richland Hills, TX, on Wednesday, February 5 at 5:00 PM.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2:00 PM at the Junction Cemetery. Ken Cobb, elder of the Kerrville Jehovahs Witness Congregation officiating and under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to the viewing scheduled from 5:00 7:00 PM on Saturday at the Kimble Funeral Home.
Edith was born in Oklahoma on December 15, 1914. She married Vardie Edward Tomlinson on November 28, 1930 and they were married for 73 years at the time of his death on October 7, 2003. They were residents of Junction most of their lives. Edith resided in North Richland Hills for the past 4 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was selfless, always putting the needs of her loved ones ahead of her own. She cooked break every morning until her eyesight was lost. She made everyone feel loved and special and she will be missed by all who knew her. Edith was everyones friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vardie father and mother, George and Betty Conn Longshore three brothers, John, Walter and George two sisters, Mable and Lois and one greatgrandchild, Amber Yancey.
Survivors include two daughters Catherine Watson of Junction, and Vada McDonough of North Richland Hills two sons, Walter Tomlinson of Junction and George Tomlinson of Bedford 7 grandchildren, 7 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreatgrandson.
