Doris Jacoby

Doris Johnston Jacoby, 92, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on December 9, 2014.

Doris was born on March 31, 1922 in Burnet, Texas to Arthur Johnston and Ruth OGarret Johnston. Doris was a graduate of Junction High School class of 1940, and later graduated from Abilene Christian College, and taught school Eldorado Texas. She married Harold Frank Jacoby in 1945 he preceded her in death. Together, Harold and Doris ranched in Real County. Doris was an accomplished bridge player a member of the Daedalian Study Club and president of the Kimble County Tennis Association and avid tennis player. She was a sports enthusiast, and fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. Doris was a member of the College Street Church of Christ.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her sons, Michael Frank Jacoby, born 1954 and Kennon Clark Jacoby, born 1955 and grandchild Jaclyn Lynell Jacoby.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, December 15, 2014 at the College Street Church of Christ in Junction with Brandon Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the Junction City Cemetery. ation will be held 13:00 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Kimble Funeral Home.
