Delia Broyles

Delia Irene (Sissie) Broyles, 83, of Junction, TX passed from this life on Saturday, January 11, 2025 in Menard, Tx.

She was born October 31st, 1941 in Robert Lee, TX to Elbert Jesse Hurley and Mozel Grantham Hurley. The family soon thereafter moved to Junction where she grew up and attended Junction schools.

On July 26, 1957, Sissie married Billy Royce Broyles. She was extremely active in the community which included serving as President of the Leti Study Club and a member of the Zonta Study Club, the PTA, Kimble County Chamber of Commerce and the Junction Tennis Association. She was also a member of the College Street Church of Christ.

Sissie enjoyed bridge, crocheting, collecting coins and playing slots. Her most cherished moments were those spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, E.J. and Mozel Hurley; her husband, Billy Royce Broyles; her daughter, Sandra Lea Beebe and son, Royce Neil Broyles.

She is survived by her son, James Ward and his wife Donna Broyles of Dallas; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Lance Wright, Mark Castillo, Marcus Murr, Kenny Smart, Juan Boone and Greer Kothman.

Honorary Pallbearers are Oscar Abilez, Rob Roy Spiller, Lynwood Hawkins, Billy Dale and Charles Hagood.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Christian Relief Fund, P.O. Box 19670, Amarillo, TX 79114.

Viewing will be open to the public Monday, January 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM with funeral services being held at 2:00 PM that afternoon at Kimble Funeral Home in Junction with burial in the Junction Cemetery.
