Deborah Carol Brown, age 72 passed away on April 14,2022 at Kimble Hospital in Junction, Texas. Visitation will be on Monday, April 18,2022 from 6-8PM at Kimble Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19,2022 at 2PM at Kimble Funeral Home with burial to follow at Junction City Cemetery with College Street Church of Christ Pastor Bryce Stewart officiating.
Deborah Carol Brown was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on August 16,1949 to Opal and Howard Brown. She was a lifelong resident of Junction and Kimble County. Deborah graduated from Junction High School, continuing her education by graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Angelo State University. She then returned back to Junction to help with the family business at Isaack’s Restaurant and other restaurants owned and operated by the family in Junction and Kimble County. Deborah opened and created Brown’s Fried Chicken and was extremely successful with her business. Upon her retirement, she worked at the Junction Eagle, writing stories for the newspaper.
Deborah loved the College Street Church of Christ and its members, where she served as the church secretary. Deborah was in charge of planning and preparing the Wednesday night meals for the congregation and it was one of her favorite things to do at the church. She also loved helping and preparing funeral dinners at the church.
Deborah loved helping other people in their time of need. She loved Junction and Kimble County. She loved her family and always enjoyed preparing meals for them.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Howard and Opal Brown and brother, James Brown.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her brother, Steve R. Brown and Robin of Junction; nephew, Travis R. Brown and wife, Mikayla and children, Addison and Titan and niece, Mystle Brown and daughter, Faith.
