David Eugene Goodwin passed away suddenly in his home April 7, 2017 in Goodrich, Texas leaving his family & friends in shock and disbelief.
He was born in Clewiston, Florida, December 4, 1960 to Norman Eugene Goodwin and Sara White Ringling. He is preceded in death by both parents; his stepfather, Charles Ringling; and his brothers, Scott and Parke Goodwin.
To bear the burden of his loss he leaves behind a brother Kirk Ringling; his sister, Marie Armes her husband Clay and their daughter Keeley; his nephew, David "Bear" Terrell; great-aunt, Rita Lambert of St. Augustine, Florida; and numerous other family members in Florida and Texas.
There will be a private burial at the family cemetery in Cleo, Texas. He will be laid to rest with his parents, step-father, and his brothers. In June, his ashes will also be placed in Sarasota Bay with his maternal grandparents, Capt. Ed & Eleanor White; his uncle, Jimmy White; his great aunt, Lucille Futch; and his brother, Parke.
His mischievous smile and laughter will be missed by many. He never met a stranger. If you ever had a chance to let him spin you around a dance floor then you know how he loved to dance.
He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing his passion, most of what he learned from his cousin, Billy. David was known for his "hold my beer & watch this" moments, he pushed the envelope to the max and loved living way close to the edge.
I was lucky enough to call him brother and those lucky enough to call him friend understand that a little bit of life has left us all.
The family will be receiving guests on April 22, 2017 from 3-6 PM, at their home, 6011 Cleo Rd. (Ranch Road 2291) Junction, Texas for those wishing to pay their respects or tell a "Bebo" story.
