Danny Whitaker

Danny Doyle Whitaker, 68, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on February 23, 2019 at his residence.

Danny was born July 2, 1950 in Fredericksburg, to parents, Alvin Wesley and Ima Delle Cottle Whitaker. He grew up and attended school in Junction, and was a member of the Full Gospel Church. Danny was self employed, with many talents including mechanics and ranching, and worked for many people over the years. He enjoyed working and being in the outdoors. Danny served his country in the US Navy from 1970 to 1974.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sandra Rose and Jacqueline Haines; and grandson, Destin Wallace.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons, Henry Whitaker and wife Charlotte, Edward Whitaker and wife Miranda; daughter, Nancy Whitaker Timms; the mother of his children, Shirley Whitaker; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Full Gospel Church. Interment with military honors will follow at Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6-8:00 PM, Wednesday at the Full Gospel Church.
