Cynthia Diane McCoy, age 63, of Junction, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 3, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cindy was born in Fairfax, Virginia on December 12, 1953 and was the daughter of Marvin and Lauree (Lewis) Schiffman. She grew up a Navy brat, living all over the Unites States and abroad, graduating from high school in Bomaderry, Australia. After high school she moved back to the states and eventually settled down in San Antonio, Texas where she raised 3 of her children. On May 3, 2002 she married the love of her life, Gary McCoy, where they soon retired and settled down at "the end of the road" in Junction, Texas.
Cindy was a collector of all things (especially shoes and friends!). She knew no strangers and was an inspiration to all with her steadfast faith. She was an avid reader and loved the art of crafting. One man's trash was her treasure! Cindy was most famously known for her "rear view selfies" and her love of clouds. The sky was her canvas and the clouds her masterpieces. Her zest for life was unsurpassed and boy did she have spunk! She had a sense of humor and wit like no other. Cindy loved gathering with her friends; lunching, shopping and playing Bunco. She also loved traveling alongside her beloved Gary and was crazy about her grandkids. She was an active and passionate volunteer for Bluebonnet CASA and Friends of the Library.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Schiffman.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of those who have survived her: Husband, Garald (Gary) Lee McCoy of Junction, TX; Mother, Lauree (Lewis) Schiffman of Cartersville, GA; Sister, Susan (Schiffman) Howard of Cartersville, GA; Brother, Stephen Schiffman of Savannah, GA;
