Charles Brunette

Charles Edward Brunette, 64, of London, Texas passed from this life on May 24, 2016 at his residence.

Charles was born in Odessa Texas in 1952 to James Morris Brunette (Pete) and Nadine Gilley Brunette. He was known as a red headed, ring-tailed tooter according to his older sister. Not much changed. He had a knack for being mischievous and talking others into just about anything or out of anything depending on how you look at it. His grin would always give it away. He worked for G.Q. Salmon & Son for over 20 yrs. before he retired in 1995. Later in 2013 he moved to the ranch in Junction and made a home there with wife Nancy.

He was a fan of race cars, the Daytona 500 and Nascar. His favorite drivers were John Force (Drag Racing) and Dale Earnhardt to name a few. He was also compared to Richard Petty at times because of his charm.

He was a collector of antique automobiles. He had a vast die car collection. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his Spyder on the back roads and highways. He loved playing poker with his cousins.

While at home he enjoyed watching Westerns. Anything with John Wayne was a favorite. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Nancy; his children and grandchildren. Anyone who came to the ranch was fair game to sit and listen to Charlie as he loved to spin a tail.
It didn't matter who you were he always wanted you to stay longer. Underneath that rough exterior was a gentle man that just wanted to talk and visit and share what was on his heart.

Charles is preceded in death by his father, James Morris Brunette; mother, Gilley Nadine Golden; sisters, Debra Joe (Judy) Beauchamp, Ernestine Burt; brother, Morris Haskell Brunette; grandparents, Bertha Mae and Rock Golden; nephews, Donald Wayne McDonald, Steven Ross McDonald, David Shane Brunette; and great-nephew, Tommy Joe Scott.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Nancy Stewart; son, David Charles Brunette and wife Kellie; son, Boyce Frazier; daughter, Shyree Nicole Brunette; grandchildren, Spencer Alan Brunette, Meagan Marie Brunette and husband Tyler, Cameron Lee Edward Brunette and wife Hanna, Alyssa Nicole Brightman; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Rose Brunette, Emersyn Grace Brunette; siblings, Glennell McDonald, David Brunette and wife Shirley, Ricky Don Brunette; Stella Louise Brunette and many nieces and nephews.
