Charlene Collins Hight, 85, of London Texas passed from this life on January 21, 2018 at her residence.
Charlene was born April 3, 1932 in Kimble County to Houston and Willie Ada Collins, and grew up in Kimble County. She married Harlan C. Hight on May 4th, 1946.
Charlene was a loving wife, mother, farmer, bookkeeper and grandmother. She enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family and loved to cook for them all. Charlene blessed her family and friends with love, a strong and loyal character and a wonderful sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harlan C. Hight; parents, Houston and Willie Collins; sisters, Lorene Cheshire, Bursie Cassidy, Faye Traweek; and brother, HB Collins.
Those left to cherish her memory include one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Raygen Nixon, daughters and son-in-laws; Sue and Jack Smith, and their children James and Billie Stewart and James and Laura Smith; Dorothy and Jim Kramer and their children, Shannan and Jeremy Seviers, Kartrina and Nick Busick and Kameron and Heba Kramer; Sandra Hight, and her children; Thomas and Emily Decker; 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charlene loved and was loved by many. She lived her life according to her belief in God and was firm in that faith, not wavering. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear. She blessed many and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held 10:30AM, Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the London Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Jeffers officiating.
Private interment will be at the Hight Family Cemetery.
