Bryce Allen Stewart

Bryce Allen Stewart, 45, of Junction, Texas passed away in his home on Thursday, November 9, 2023 after a four year battle with cancer.  There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in the Junction High School Gym.  Bryce was born in Bay City, Texas on April 17, 1978 to Michael Allen Stewart and Cynthia Anne Lowe Stewart.  He grew up in Montalba, Texas and Palestine, Texas.  He graduated from Palestine High School in 1996.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University in December 2000.  Bryce met his wife Stephanie Marilyn Schubert Stewart while at Bandina Christian Youth Camp.  They were married on March 15, 2003.  Shortly after marriage, Bryce and Stephanie found their home in Midlothian, Texas where they planted their roots and began their family.  In the next eight years, they welcomed their six beautiful children into the world.  While raising their children, Bryce began his youth ministry career at the Midlothian Church of Christ.  Bryce worked with the youth there for seven years.  These were seven of the best years of his life.  The relationships and bonds he built with the young families and youth are something he cherished.  With his family growing and needing to supply for all their financial needs, Bryce went to work in “the real world”.  Although he missed ministry, he enjoyed being able to minister to co-workers at Gas Clip Technologies, where he worked as their Quality Control Manager for three years.  When he left Gas Clip, he spent many months looking for a job that could support his family.  Every door he knocked on seemed to close before it even opened.  Through much prayer and God’s faithfulness, Bryce stepped out of his comfort zone and applied for a pulpit ministry position in Junction, Texas, where his grandparents and father were from.   Although it was an incredibly hard decision to move away from their Midlothian Church of Christ family, Bryce and Stephanie trusted in the Lord and followed the path He laid for them.  Bryce began as the minister of College Street Church of Christ, in Junction, Texas in October 2017.  The College Street Church of Christ family and the community of Junction opened their arms wide to Bryce and the family.  Bryce spent the last six years loving and ministering to his congregation and the community.  He loved every minute of his time in Junction.

Bryce’s greatest joy was being a father.  His children were everything to him.  Whether it was traveling all over the state hauling goats for shows with Brylee, fishing and kayaking with Kaylee, talking Pokemon with Zayne, riding the ranger with Ady, playing video games with Casyn or being the tickle monster with Ryn, Bryce lived for each and every moment with his children.  Bryce loved to hunt.  If he wasn’t hunting for deer, he was hunting for arrowheads at his favorite place to be, his family’s ranch in Rock Springs.  It was rare to see Bryce without Stephanie by his side.  The two were best friends and loved each other fiercely.

Bryce is preceded in death by his son, Zayne Allen Stewart who passed away early this year.  His family praises God that Bryce is now with his Savior and his son.  Bryce is survived by his wife Stephanie; children, Brylee, Kaylee, Adylee, Casyn and Rynlee; his parents, Michael and Cynthia Stewart; brother, Brad Stewart and wife Angie; brother, Bryan Stewart; sister Bethany Stewart; nieces, Reagan, Madison, Makenna and Cameron Stewart; and nephew, Kyle Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help support Stephanie and the children at First State Bank of Junction, 2002 Main Street, Junction, Texas 76849.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kimble Funeral Home. (325) 446-3076
