Betty Byars

Betty Jeanne Byars, 77, of Junction, passed from this life on April 4, 2020 at a care facility in Fredericksburg.

Betty was born December 13, 1942 to Leonard and Varda Gibbins in Junction.  She grew up in Junction and graduated from Junction High School Class of 1961.  Betty was a 4-H leader; a member of the Leti Study Club, and the Back Street Players.  She also enjoyed playing Bunco and Bridge.  She was a legal secretary and worked for several attorneys in town including Keaton Blackburn and Allen Alschwede.  Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Mark Randolph; and husband, George Byars.

Those left to honor her memory include her sister, Beverly Lydeen and husband Roy; grandson, Ramsey Allen Randolph; daughter-in-law, Connie Randolph; many extended family members and friends.

Due to current social distancing circumstances a private family graveside will be held at Junction City Cemetery.  A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff of Celeste Care in Fredericksburg for their genuine care and professionalism.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Junction; the Alzheimer's Association or Celeste Care in Fredericksburg.
