Surrounded by her family, Anabel Nora Davis, 81, of Junction, Texas passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on Friday, June 2, 2023.
Anabel was born October 27, 1941 to Reverend Warren and Minnie Ellis in Robstown, Texas. She and her three younger siblings were accustomed to moving frequently, even out of state, as their dad was reassigned in his Methodist ministry. In the late 50’s, the family moved to Junction following her father’s new assignment to the First United Methodist Church.
Anabel would come to love her new home and loved a handsome young man, Bobby Davis, even more. He quickly became the love of her life. She and Bobby were married March 18, 1958 in Junction, having just celebrated 65 years together. As a rancher’s wife, Anabel loved cooking delicious meals, hosting parties for friends and family, decorating her home, and enjoying great conversations with others. She had an immaculate style. She loved laughing, reading good books, traveling the world, shopping, GG orange manicures/pedicures, the beach, a quiet day on her deck and a good margarita. Her greatest accomplishments, however, were her three children and grandchildren.
Anabel was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Donald Ellis, and her beloved daughter Bobbi Lynn McLaughlin. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Bobby, sons, Jim Davis, and Mitch (Michea) Davis, son in law, Brian McLaughlin, grandchildren, Dustin Davis, BK (Molly) McLaughlin, Quinten McLaughlin, Devin Lewis, Chelsi Davis, Caigen (Jack) Varvel, and Mecina (Thomas) Morgan, great grandchildren, Christen (Nicholas) Kegley, Kaden Davis, Adelaide Lewis, Davis and Emory McLaughlin, great great grandson Hudson Kegley, sisters: Miriam Olive and Patricia Gerdes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 5th, 10:30am at the First United Methodist Church in Junction under the care and direction of Kimble Funeral Home. A private interment will take place in Junction cemetery at a later date.
