She even qualified for regionals individually in the 400-meter dash, which was her favorite race.

Alexis loved barrel racing and horseback riding near her home. She was a member of Kimble County 4-H and showed market swine.

Alexis is preceded in death by her cousin JeanAnn Tubbs; her uncles Gary Hecht and Early Paul Luchsinger; her great-grandparents Paul and Beverly Luchsinger, Milton and Martha Schulze, Frank and Martha Hervol, and Bill and Bess Cardwell.

Alexis is survived by her parents; her two brothers; her grandparents James and Liana Hervol of Deming, NM; Bill and Judy Cardwell of Junction; her aunts/uncles Amber and Grant Swinney, Courtney Head and Brian Head all of Deming; Bundy and Ella Cardwell of Junction; and her cousins Mackenzie Head, Kylan and Reid Swinney all of Deming; Stormie Patterson and Braylon Chandler of Havelock, North Carolina; as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Alexis' honorary pallbearers are all of her closest friends.
